Error - "C:\part-setup_ais-ffffffff.vpx"

Every time I attempt to open Origin or download a program I always receive this error. I have attempted to re install Avast as well as use the uninstall program that puts the computer into safe mode. I have tried talking to a representative on the phone as well as let him take control and he could not give me an answer. Avast is not in my program list to uninstall/repair. Please help me! I have had this issue for months and I can’t even play the twenty dollar game I just purchased because of it!

1. Download avast! Free Antivirus: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe
2. Follow instructions: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed avast! versions…!!)
3. Reinstall avast! with the downloaded installer from point 1.
4. Reboot.

Hi,

please start Windows Explorer and enable viewing hidden files AND protected operating system files in the Windows Explorer options. Then check if there is a file called “Program” (not a directory, but a file) directly located under C:\ on your hard disk. If there is such a file (not a directory and only if the file is exactly named “Program”), delete it, run the avast! Uninstall Tool, reboot and try to run the setup again. That should work.
