Error Code 0x20000011

I’m on a Windows 7 Professional x64-bit Computer with Service Pack 1 Release Candidate Wave 1. I can’t seem to update Avast 5.0.677 because it shows “The Package is broken”.

I only have Windows Firewall and I have the updates set to Direct Connection (No Proxy).

Edit: Also, A while ago, I downloaded Hypercam. It came with BigSeekPro. I accidentally installed it. Today, I uninstalled it from the list of search engines in Firefox. It might have also modified Mozilla Thunderbird after I uninstalled it and now I can’t find the Inbox. Does it prevent Avast from checking for updates after it was uninstalled? Also, I have Hypercam Uninstalled.

Generally only 3rd party firewalls can prevent avast to update (outbound blocking).
The broken package can, sometimes, be corrected by booting again and updating…

I restarted my computer, but to no avail, I still get “The Package is Broken” error message. Any more Ideas?
Also, when I close my computer’s laptop to put it to sleep, it mostly automatically turns off by itself incorrectly. This might have zapped the Avast files. I hope I don’t have to reinstall Avast.

Hmmm… Why is it so difficult to install avast from scratch?
Maybe it will be a safer solution.

Because I’m on a Dial-up connection right now so I can’t download the Installation File.
