Hi i have version 4.6.763. avast home edition and been using avast a long time and everything has worked great,i think it´s the best antivirus software on the market really cause ive tried all of them almost i think,anyway when i try to update vps it gives me 3 error codes like this:
Can´t install VPS update. Please report following errorcodes:
Ver:4.6.763
SI:0x00000002
ST:0x00000002
LE:0x00000000.
I even downloaded the update manually to see if that worked but same thing,is there a problem with my firewall? (zonealarm)
Or - Try a repair of avast. Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button and scroll down to Repair, click next and follow. You need to be on-line to do this.
Thanx,i fixed it with downloading the software again and then choose to update instead of removing and after that the vps update worked
It was same error for me with that dll file in the link but i din´t understand what they said about copying the named file,so this was easier for me,maybe good work around for newbies like me
