Error deploying Client

Hi,

I recently installed ADNM with 60 users on mixed XP / 7 network. ADMN is installed on Server 2008 R2 - this is an Active Directory network.

I have set up a group policy to allow the necessary file sharing between the server and client and verified this is working by browsing to the c$ share on a test machine (XP).

When I run a Deployment Task for the client it starts off fine but then fails with the status: Failed (Access is denied)

If I look at the desktop of the remote machine it it has Avast installed now and shows as managed. When I look in the computer catalog the machine does not show as having anything installed.

Any ideas?

you miss another file: 04/27/11 11:06:19: CHAPLAINCY2: aswResp.dat not present

if you look in the directory: \CHAPLAINCY2\C$~AVINSTL\ do you see the file: vps-11042700.vpu ?

download the avast removal tool, and try the deployment again to see what happens

is this on an XP or Win7 machine?

This is an XP machine.

The directory you mention was uninstalled by the install routine so is not present (shown at the end of the log).

try a redeploy on the machine again

first clear out your current log (make a copy of it or cut and paste it somewhere else)
do the redeploy see what comes in the log

have you deployed to other machines with the same trouble?

HP-7100 is Win7 OS
XCCube and FTARRACO-02 are WinXP OS

I have some questions:

  • It’s necessary to have an “Administrador” user account on pc’s to install? Because I don’t have it in any.
  • It’s is possible to install avast on a pc from a different domain that the server where is installed ADNM?
