Error in Instant Messaging realtime scan

Hi,

I always get the following error message when someone transfers to me a file via Windows Live Messenger when the transfer completes.

title: ashSimpl
text: Unknown parameter
OK

As soon, I press OK, the avast program pops up. I’m using avast 4.7.827. I believe this did exist in previous builds too.

Any leads?

ashSimpl? Did you set some avast! executable as a virus scanner in Windows Messenger options?

If so, use C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast4\ashQuick.exe
