Error in Outlook 2003 under Vista

I am running Outlook 2003 under Vista. When I get email mail, I get the following
error:
Cannot scan the message body. Error code is 8000-4003.
Invalid pointer.

Avast Home 4.7
Ver of definition0618-1 dated 5/3/06. Program undated as of 5/3/06.

I googled the error message. I did’t see any tjing ththelped.

Any suggestions.

I have 2 choices - remove Avast or find a solution?

Is there anything in the \data\log\error.log (or warning.log) file? E.g. something like “CreateEventsAndMappings failed”…?

I don’t really know. Since I was having so many problems with Avast, I un-installed Avast. I should have look in the log file but I didn’t.

I have this same error. My system is Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2003 Outlook.

Hmm, GetQueuedCompletionStatus failed? Interesting, really…

I mean, we’ve found and fixed a problem in the Outlook provider that was preventing it from running under Vista, but AFAIK it should’ve demonstrated itself in a bit different way (different log entries)…

Anyway, let’s see, maybe the fix will solve the problem even in your case. In a couple of days, I should be able to give you a version to test, if you’d be interested…

I am a Windows Vista BetaTester - English version and Portuguese Version - and I will help you with whatever you need.

Other question, I am testing a Windows Vista 64 Bits Version and until today, I have not found a Antivirus compatible with this O.S. are you developing a version to this Operation System?

The latest version of avast (4.7.844) should work well with Vista, both 32-bit and 64-bit.
