i was trying to instal VPS Update and i received three errors, my version of Avast is 4.8.1169 and the errors are:
SI:0x00000005
ST:0x00000000
LE: 0x00000000.
what is this? can anybody help me please ???
not an avast internals expert but if you have not been able to update for awhile you could download the whole file from

Try starting off by downloading the latest version of avast, which is 4.8.1229 or do a manual program update. This ensures it isn’t program related and little point trying to find a fault if you don’t have the latest program version.
What is your Windows version ?
0x00000005 is access denied… but what is strange is that you don’t need admin rights to update the virus database… Follow David’s suggestions.
