I would like to hear the comments of developers ???
Mee too, as I’ve seen similar requests today, but can’t help/answer.
the binary was corrupted. We removed it from web. It should appear asap. Sorry for inconvenience
In the meantime, can someone put an announcement on manual VPS download page so that users know what is going on and this will be temporary (but this is 5 days already temporary).
I also wondered why the updates at
http://www.avast.com/download-update
are not there so it is high time to put some comments to this webpage!
Please, do not post twice the same as just double the help effort…
Why not tell what the problem is solved? Fixed.
Users to know … all is quiet.
It is sad.

The problem came back again when you install an error. (18/12/2011 - 111218-1), and so that it no updates. :-[
What the avast team has to say about this:
Well, why the second day, again all are silent, do hard to write?
Yes we have a problem, correct.
Remove the link … then again, that though it was clear that does not work.
Why not update VPS manually?
I would like to revive the thread.
One Russian user has a problem with manual VPS updates in Avast Free 6.0.1367. Each time he tries to run VPS update files (since Dec 22), he gets an error window saying that an error was discovered in avast.setup and it will be closed. At the same time on-line updates work well.
As I understand there were some issues with off-line update files. Are they resolved?
