Error Messages When Opening Outlook

I keep getting error messages when I open my Outlook and when I open an e-mail. The error messages I get are listed below.

Error:
The AAVM4H.DLL file is linked to missing export ASHBASE.DLL:_basCreateURLFromlni@12

Error:
avast!: unable to connect to the avast! engine. avast! mail protection cannot be started. The operation completed successfully.

Error:
The add-in “C:\Program Files\Alwilsoftware\Avast4\ashOutXt.dll” Could not be installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved by using Detect and Repair on the Help Menu.

Error:
Not enough storage is available to process this command
Splash cannot execute the following program: C:\ProgramFiles\AlwilSoftware\Avast4\ashSimple.exe

These keep coming up. Please let me know what I need to do. Thanks, ???

Please search your hard drive for a file called ASHBASE.DLL.
There should be only one occurence of this file, in the avast folder. Can you confirm this?

i have the same problem:

I remember that all works fine with version 4.5x. With the new one 4.6 i get these error messages.

I deleted that entry in the registry and deleted the extend.dat and it works, but the outlook plugin/the provider didn’t start resp. it is not possible to start the provider even when outlook is open.

What is the difference between the outlook provider (that didn’t work) and the internet mail provider?

yes i had repair it but the outlook plugin wont work. i dont understand it, the former version works well but after the update to 4.6 it will not work anymore. i uninstalled avast and reinstalled it but still the same problem

Outlook > Help menu > About dialog
see if avast plugin is enabled or not.

I had to disable the plugin, because if its enable it produce the error message i posted above.

So what can i do that the plugin is working like it should do?

is there really no workaround to let the plugin work? Without the plugin, only with the internet mail provider, i get timeouts for my imaps, so only every second oder third try to get new headlines from my imap-accounts are working. before 4.6 it always works fine.

Did you try to increase both timeouts (into avast and into your email program)?
