I’ve been getting this scan report after running a Full scan:

Full system scan: some files could not be scan…

Error: Reached the end of the file (38)

Avast automatically Applies “Move to Chest”

I really don’t know what this is or if I should worry about it? The strange thing is, it’s does the same thing in 2 differnt laptops.

Can anyone help me with this?

Right click the file in the Virus Chest and choose “Submit to virus lab” and file out the opening form as need be.

I just got this same result in regards to an SWSETUP file on Windows XP Pro SP3 and it never showed up before either. It’s in regards to MS Works in the SWSETUP file after a full scan with pup turned on and sensitivity set to high. Funny thing is since I have MS Office, I removed MS Works from my laptop months ago, and never got this result on a full paid version Avast can until today, January 24.

There is nothing in the Virus Chest to submit. In the scan results it shows the 2 files and at the bottom it says Apply this action for all: Move to Chest. But there is nothing in it?
