The report refers to the newly found Trojan MTK-A in Polaris Office package. The “false positive” report size is 26.5MB and sending the report fails on insufficient memory - absolutely not possible/not plausible. I have a Note 2 and I have PLENTY of space in RAM/ROM as well on the internal memory. Please look into it.
Hi,
it refers to RAM, not ROM. Android only gives us so much of RAM so sometimes we just don’t get more, false positive report is one of the few features being affected by this so sending huge applications is not possible (and I think those would be refused by the server anyway). It should be possible to send ~10MB app on most devices.

Same problem here with note 2 and polaris… describing why the problem happens doesn’t excuse it. Plenty of apps are larger than 10Mb so avast needs to be fixed to accommodate this.
I can’t even use polaris anymore without avast blocking it and making me choose the allow for 15 minutes option. And since they’re aren’t any user settings to set up exclusions, I can’t get rid of problem. This needs to be fixed asap and polaris needs to be removed from the avast blacklist asap.
Hi,
I think we will take a look at the false positive tomorrow. But as I said, I think there are limits on the false positive servers that forbid upload of large files. Me fixing the client might not solve the issue and I have no power over the servers.

OK, but if there seems to be a limit in sending files larger than 10MB, why allow Avast to even try sending a 26.5MB file?
Actually the problem is more complicated than you might think and I’m not gonna go into the details. I’ll look into the client at some point in time and will hopefully change it so it doesn’t show the error message you are seeing.
