First time for this problem in my long time install of Avast! 4.8.1368. I always manually update via right clicking on Avast! icon and choosing update iAVS.
This morning when I go to update as usual I get the error shown in attachment “Avast.err1screen.jpg”
It gives me the option to save the log shown in attachment “Avast.err1.txt”
The final screen shot is the usual Avast! message shown upon update completion also reflecting the error shown in attachment :Avast.err2screen.jpg.
Is this just a server problem or something more serious? My last iAVS update was 100331-1 from yesterday.
Running a typical home HP laptop, Vista SP2 (32 bit) fully patched.
I won’t worry that much… seems a glitch or temporary problem while connecting the servers.
If I were you, I just monitor if it updates normally in the future.
Hi. Tech. Sorry I did not see your post until now.
Updating VPS today has been normal so hopefully no problem on this end. I have been monitoring the new release reports since the beginning but because of my cautious (read paranoid) nature I’m still going to wait a while before switching to 5.
