Youll have to manually make a ruleset for it.

Basically once you opened Avast Internet Security

Tools > firewall > “Application Rules” near the bottom

You will have to click New Group, then name it whatever you want.

Then you go to the button next to it: “New Applicaiton Rule” and select the newly created group you made. You will then have to manually locate the applicaton. In the case of Serviio, you need to do this twice. Once for ServiioConsole.exe and ServiioService.exe

Lasty, you set both to the highest bar (All Connections).

Serviio works again. I had to do the same for my ohter apps.

The 2 step process is off putting but least its not as bad as i thought it was. The forced organization is a bit of an annoyance.
