I have been issued an error messagae stating that Avast Home does not support smtp mail (error 10048).
Also, port 25 is being used I am asked to specify another value.
Your help would be greatly appreciated…
tangledwebster, some other application (maybe Windows Messenger, maybe another antivirus…) is listening port 25. You have a conflict (probably).
Can you search the board for the number 10048?
Can you use TCPView (http://www.sysinternals.com/files/tcpview.zip) to see which application is using the port 25?
