You do not state which Avast product this relates to.
If it relates to Avast Mobile Security app on Samsung phone, then it is a known problem. Web Shield is regularly turned off and you will have to go to settings and turn Avast activation off then on again.

Updated to 25.1 Free (25.1.9816a build 25.1.9816.762) today and Restarted. Ran into a problem immediately. Windows Security icon showing Yellow and Avast icon showing redX. “Web Shield is turned OFF”. [25v1 Webshield off] From UI invited to turn Web Shield ON.
