And the one extra OTL folder just delete it?

Yes

Ok that’s deleted…Now what should I do with the 4 other Avast set-ups 3 from last week and 1 from earlier in the month…just delete them also?

Yep put them in the bin

Ok…then I’m all set right?

Yep you should be good to go 8)

Awesome ;D

Once again essexboy I can’t Thank You enough for hanging in there with me and all your HELP…you are extremely a wonderful patient person and you got me thru all of this.

Thank You So Very Much Essexboy :-*

My pleasure

Just one more question essexboy…haha I know…I’m on my desktop now and found the same file IObit\Advanced SystemCare…should I basically do the same thing I did on my laptop?

Uninstall using control panel should be sufficient

LoL…there not there again :-[

Also I ran my Avast and it came up with these 2 items that couldn’t be opened…

C:\ProgramData.…|>sbRecovery.reg

C:\ProgramData.…|>sbRecovery.ini

Essexboy would this help her by using PC Decrapifier, DoeZ please don’t run this software unless advise by Essexboy

http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=93544.msg965911#msg965911

Those two items are password protected and are not a problem, for the IObit stuff just manually delete from the desktop what is there

There not on the desktop…there in these files again…and I found some other things that I don’t want on this PC as well and I don’t see them in any of my programs of unistalling them.

OK run an OTL scan on this computer and let me know what programmes you wish to kill

Ok…this may take me a bit :frowning:

Ok…While I was looking thru everything I was finding a bunch of old different folders that all were saying “Empty” so I tried to delete them…and I also saw the folders of the ones that I spoke of and again I tried to delete them also but I would find them in a different folder as well…so I ran the OTL and I’m going to attempt to post both logs here for you…There was another one that I couldn’t remember where I found it yesterday but it began with a J and I can’t remember if it was something like juno because that’s sticking in my head for some reason. But most definitely that IObit for sure. I’m hoping that by deleting the others was enough to get rid of those. If you see anything else that shouldn’t be there just let me know…

Hmm not far enough back… When you run OTL after this could you select 90 days please

Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot
