Ever since I installed the free Avast! program my SD media drive wont work?

I have an HP desk top thats a couple years old, and it has the build in media card slots and drives, and I have always used the SD cards from my camera and stuck it in the slot and then gotten my pictures, but suddenly it will only tell me to “insert a disk into removable drive F”.

I tried pausing all the sections of Avast to see it that would some how remedy it… but it didnt. I dont know what to do and this is driving me nuts- I dont have the USB cord for the camera as the back up option… grrr!

I tried uninstalling avast, and then even did a system restore, and still nothing.

Isnt there any geek out there that knows why why WHY its not working? grrrr!

The manager says the driver and device are both working… but it never recognizes that there’s a card.

Well at least I am not the only one with similar issues… lol. NOw if we can only find the solution…
