Everyday I get a message

Everyday I get a message in a blue panel saying I need to update Avast.
This is often right after Avast has updated. I assume this is a virus.
I just click the X, get rid of it an move on. Are others having this experience.

How would I post a screenshot or a jpg file (camera-made pic of the screen) In this forum?
Its the home edition of Avast. I don’t know which version.

below the txt box you write in here click attachment and other options

right click avast tray icon…about… it should say something like 8.0.1483

This jpg file (attached) is one of several messages I’ve received.
Some of them suggest that Avast files need updating, right after
Avast has updated on my computer.

The question is, is this message actually coming from Avast
and is it legitimate?

I’ve included a ruler (in inches, not cm., sorry about that!)
so you can see the size of it.

the picture you posted is from avast software updater....telling you what software installed that is out of date
