Excel 2016 personal.xlsb deleted / Win 10

Hello,
my avast free version apparently deleted my personal.xlsb Excel Makro file and I cannot reclaim it so far. Any suggestions, where I could find it?
Upon opening MS Exel 2016 I received a short pop up massage of a threat. After that the personal.xlsb has dissapeared from the XLSTART directory. Are these deleted files stored somewhere?

First, Iā€™m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.

Presumably you mean Avast suspected it to be malicious ?
In which case you should have had options as to what action Avast takes - Send to Quarantine, Delete and or possibly Ignore.

Check the Quarantine option in the Right click option from the Avast Tray icon.
Once Quarantine is open, if the file is there there should be an option to Restore and set an exception (if you except the risk), select that.

Worked and file is back in XLSTART directory, but still cannot be loaded by Excel upon start or manually.

Are you getting any error message (if so what) or is it just not loading ?

You could also try adding it manually to the Exceptions, though it should be there.

You can check here - Avast Menu > Settings > Exceptions and give the full path and filename. Also see the Advanced options.
