Excel Not Saving

I have Windows 7 on my PC having converted from Vista. After the conversion, I can no longer save Excel files nor re-save Excel files that I have in my data base that I want to modify. I believe that Avast is my problem. When I call up a blank Excel spread sheet, on the upper left hand corner (outside the Excel shell) are the words, “Avast Sandbox”, in a blue background. Am I correct that Avast is causing the problem or is it from something else.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Richard

Have to tried a repair of avast via add/remove? If no, go to add/remove and right click avast and click on change and on the left hand side click on repair. Once repair is done, restart your computer.

What avast version are you using the “Avast Sandbox” is only in paid versions (also the latest regular release build is 2015 10.4.2233) ?.

I wouldn’t have thought that you would want MS Excel running in the “Avast Sandbox” - if you open the “Avast Sandbox” check and see if Excel is listed to always run in the sandbox, if so uncheck it. Or try resetting the “Avast Sandbox” back to defaults.

Sorry I can’t be more helpful, but I use avast free without the “Avast Sandbox.”
