Excel or Lotis won't open files from the web.

I have macros that open web pages in to the spreadsheet and then process the data. This action is being blocked now - only on the PC which has Avast. This occured just after a recent update. The files can ben saved locally and then Excel will open them. Anything http is being block (system error ‘1004’) Are their any settings that can be changed to allow me to run these macros.

Also, my Avast is giving me the “viruses updated audio message” now.

Please help.

if you mean you get the message twice ?

it is a known bug, will be fixed in next release

I don’t think there is anything wrong with the macro- in runs fine on all no Avast PC’s and has for years. This occurred right after I updated to the new version. If I cannot fix it with a setting I will need to change anti-virus products eventually. Thank you very much for your input.
