Excel sharing violation when saving file to desktop

Hello experts from Avast,

Am using the latest free version of Avast (21.3.2459 (version 21.3.6164.661) with the latest definitions.

Running into a weird one which I could verify 10 times just by disabling all agents for 10 mins:

  1. Start Excel 365 with an empty sheet
  2. Type anything in it and try to save it to the Windows desktop. It first creates a tempfile and then fails with a file sharing violation error, keeping the tempfilename on the desktop !

Tried to disable agents one by one with absolutely no luck!

Sounds like this is something rather new since I couldn’t see anything like this last week!
