Exceptional problems with blocking other programs

This is probably a very stupid idea since this section may have an answer that I didn’t spot, but I’m rather desperate right now so if someone could help before this thread might be closed for being a duplicate or something, that would be awesome. Sorry if I have got this wrong.

I upgraded my pc recently with a new motherboard & processor (3570k & ASrock B75 Pro3-M), and after only having i for about 3 days now, I’m having problems. So first of all, I tried to run a game called Warframe but it set the program off while it was updating. It’s blocked something that it refers to as ‘AppData/Roaming’, which I’ve looked into already & while it appears to be harmless & even a part of machines with more than one account (ASP.NET account for me), This happened with something for Minecraft (Something in the assets) & now even Malwarbytes. Yep, my own malware protection is inaccessible right now because Avast is blocking it.
I’ve scanned the files while they’re in the chest & they come up as BV-Agent [trj]

Has anyone had this problem recently & do you have a solution? I’m praying someone can help me with this problem after it took a lot of money & a lot of time to put this new setup together. It’s extremely frustrating that I’m as limited as I am in my knowledge of computers.
Thank you.

What did you exactly do after changing the hardware?
Did you install Windows from scratch?

Did you install Windows like this?

  • Disconnect physically from the Internet (pull out the cable)
  • Install windows (format the drive)
  • Install ALL drivers for your system
  • Install avast
  • Connect to the Internet
  • Install all Windows updates

Actually, no. When changing the hardware, I didn’t install Windows from scratch but run a full system scan & cleanup before the upgrade happened.

However, the steps were:

  • Disconnect from the net (As in pull out the cable).
  • After upgrading & having problems with blue screening, the hard drive was repaired by someone with reliable software, means & experience.
  • The hard drive also had to be switched from RAID mode in the BIOS screen (Don’t know why it was like that)
  • Install the drivers from the software disk (Though some that were already on here were actually more up to date, so I kept them)
  • Update avast, which didn’t need it the day before but hey.

No updates were needed for Windows itself. That’s already taken care of.

I realise that this might’ve been a somewhat messy job compared to what you’ve described, but I have upgraded more than once in my life & have never had this kind of problem.

When you change a motherboard and cpu, always do a fresh installation of windows and all the needed drivers.
I strongly suggest you do it and see if it solved the problem.

Long story short, I’ve looked for my copy of Windows & can’t find it., So to summarise, that’s not possible right now because I’ve misplaced a rather crucial piece of software.

I appreciate the help & will try this course of action as soon as I can. I first need to get a new copy of the OS.
