I want to install a jailbreak onto my iPad, and avast blocks an update of the app (Impactor), causing the updater to fail installation,
I then make an exception for this installation

is the path always the same? The exclusion is for a specific path. It is possible that it is blocked first when installer copies it during installation, then when the app starts, etc…
The easiest fix would probably be to temporarily disable fileshield.
