Exchange Provider not running on SBS 2003

Hi all,

first time poster here. I’ve successfully deployed Avast through ADNM (4.8.995) on my SBS 2003 domain with very few problems (it’s a dream compared to Kaspersky).

I have a separate server running SQL Server 2008 and ADNM, through which I deployed NetServer Edition with Exchange 2000/2003 and SMTP modules to my SBS machine.

However, the Exchange provider doesn’t seem to be running. This is what ADNM shows for the SBS machine:
Installed providers: STANDARD,OUTLOOK,NS,JSCRIPT,IM,P2P,SMTP2000,EXCH2000,WS
Running providers: STANDARD,NS,JSCRIPT,IM,P2P,WS

I do have Exchange 2000/2003 activated in On-Access Scanning Tasks / Default Resident Task

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchangeIS\VirusScan shows Enabled=1 and Library=C:\Programme\Alwil Software\Avast4\avExVxx2.dll. Information Store is running.

Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks in advance.

I would like to know how good Avast SBS is in relation to other’s products - can it effectively protect machines in the SBS network?

Any experiences guys?
