Exclude whole website from scan [WebShield]

Hey guys, I’m new here

So, since Monday I started having problems with Firefox and Avast, when I watch a Youtube video on the main website and I stop watching it, either by leaving the page or closing a tab where it was, the download continues, sometimes taking up to 1MB/s of bandwidth, this is ridiculous.

And happens even when I go to a page that has a embedded video without clicking it, the only way to stop it is by closing Firefox. But I don’t want to keep closing my browser every time I watch a YT video.

I know the WebShield monitors the webpage in a local proxy, and when you use a tool like Tcpview it will show about the same amount of data being processed by both Firefox and WebShield service.

That didn’t happen before, what is going on? Is there a way to totally exclude Youtube from the scan? Firefox, Avast, Shockwave, Flash and Java are updated. I already ran some scans with Avast itself, MalwareBytes, TDSSKiller, Spybot, ESET online scan and others, nothing dangerous found.

Under Web-shield>Settings and Exclusios you can exclude Youtube.com from scans.

Or Homescreen>Settings>Global Exclusions to exclude it from all shields and system scan.

Didn’t work, I’ve put “youtube.com/” as an exclusion, do I need to put any symbol with it?

For me (Avast 2014 Beta 2) there is an separate tab for URLs.
Just put in http://www.youtube.com in there and try again.

Well, I did the following:

FlashGot > Options > Downloads > uncheck “autostart downloads”

Then NoScript > Options > Advanced > ABE > uncheck “Enable ABE”

restarted FF, went to YT, loaded some videos for about 5 minutes, then closed all tabs, bandwidth usage went to 0.

The exclusions remain in Avast, it seems the problem was with the extensions.
