How to ensure that excluded folders are really working.
Now new created executables are locked for several minutes, annoing
Is this a bug?
Which component does lock them…?
A screenshot might help…
Maybe the heuristic? No window to show.
But why it check binary in excluded folder anyway?
If it’s Avast you should get a window/pop-up. (Are you in gaming mode…?)
Does it work if you disable the shields temporary…?
Should those excluded folders options to work with Avast / AVG Free edition ?
I still got those Win32:Evo-gen[Susp]
Not aware Avast has an Avast/AVG Free Editon. You don’t have both installed, do you?
Avast or AVG AntiVirus Free, both have a same problem.
Not in the same PC of course.
Sorry. Post above wasn’t clear.
Please post an expanded screenshot of either Avast or AVG warning. And what version of avast or avg you are running along with os version?
A picture of that dialog with that Win32:Evo-gen [Susp] string ???
Tested with Windows 7, 8.1, 10. Avast and AVG 18.5.3059.
Have anyone here who can prove that excluded directories settings can work in free versions?
Evo-gen string coming from where and what a/v is reporting it?
18.5.3059 seems to be AVG: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=18.5.3059&t=ffnt&ia=web
See below for an attached .png file:
Pic will show us which av is reporting.
