Exclusion Paths on Certain Clients

Dear Avast,
I’m hoping somebody could offer me some assistance. We’re using Avast with ADNM version 4.8 and I have a requirement to make a specific network path excluded from on-access scanning. I don’t need to apply this on all of my clients, just a handful which use a specific piece of software.
I added the path to the “Exclusion” section under the client’s settings, this worked for a short period but the next day the exclusion had vanished from the settings. I’m guessing we have our ADNM set to overwrite all the client’s settings each day.

Could anyone think of a solution to this problem? As I say I don’t really want to add the exclusion globally. Any help offered would be appreciated.

every xx minutes the policies of ADNM are pulled/pushed from the server to the client.

there are 2 options for you:

  • edit the default on-access scanner to exclude your path, making it excluded for everybody
  • add a new on-access job with exception, put the computers that need it in a separate container and edit the properties to use the
    new created on-acces job.

you probably wanna choose option 2 :slight_smile:
