Exclusions

Web Shield > Expert settings > Exclusions

I don’t understand how to enter the urls I want to exclude.

For example: www.yahoo.com - I typed this in and closed Avast. When
I reopened Avast the yahoo link was gone.

What do the *'s mean and do I need them?

I’m new to Avast so please overlook my Duh!ness.

You have to click on “OK” after you enter the exclusion.
