executables in spoon sandboxes detected as malware

hi,

since about 2 days ago avast (version 5, free edition, all up-to-date) complains about w32/malware-gen in executables located in the spoon cache folder (to see what spoon is : http://www.spoon.net). yesterday it was csc.exe, today all instances of browsers i use with spoon (4 versions of iexplore.exe, chrome.exe, 2 versions of firefox.exe, opera.exe and safari.exe). i submitted (as a test) chrome.exe to jotti, which came back almost clean : http://virusscan.jotti.org/en/scanresult/84dd0aeb0a500d2d0074150c6578b23c0d38c77b

mbam reports whole system clean. i suspect this is a false positive, and have submitted it as such. any other people having this problem ? (btw : the csc.exe false positive seems fixed since yesterday).

Hello,
send us (virus@avast.com) the files to analyze, please. Put “False positive” to subject for quick processing.

i’ve already submitted ‘chrome.exe’. do you want all executables ? (there’s 12 of them i think)

Yes, sure.

Thank you,
Milos

i’ve sent them.

Hello,
thank you for sending samples. False positives are fixed in current VPS (100917-0).

Milos

thank you for the fast update !
