For executing Avast interface via CMD prompt if you have installed in the default folder type:
“C:\Program Files\Alwil Software\Avast5\AvastUI.exe”
Copying also the quotation marks

Command line commands for avast! is available on PRO and Internet Security only. If you have any of those paid version, you may do so by these parameters:

Other parameters are ignored. /_ --console Application will be ready for STDIN/STDOUT. /a --testall Test of all files. /c --testfull Scan entire files. /d --dontpanic Don't switch to "panic mode" when a virus is found. /f --fileactions = expect string =[BPSW] Additional configuration for actions on infected files B ... allow delayed actions (after reboot) for locked files. P ... if a file can't be removed from an archive, try to remove its parent(s) instead. S ... don't remove associated auto-start references when removing a file. W ... when an infected file is found in an archive, perform the action with the whole archive - not just the file inside. /h --help Help. Short description of all parameters. /i --ignoretype Ignore virus sets. /j --paging Paging the lines if program is not in STDOUT mode ( parameter /_ ). /m --boot Test boot sectors and whole operating memory. /p --continue = expect byte Program doesn't wait for user input (/p).
