Exemptions not being saved

Hi,

Every time I restart my computer and open MS Word, Avast Premium Firewall protection throws a pop-up window stating

“Microsoft Word is trying to open a Web page using a secure connection (HTTPS)”

Each and every time. I have tried to add Word as an exemption, but it does not seem to save it.

Any ideas?

Here is a screen shot of the notice I get every time I re-open Word regardless of setting an exemption for it in Avast or not.

Could you please:

  1. locate and delete the rule in the Firewall settings “Application Rules” (it should be located under “Microsoft Corporation” > “Microsoft Word”

  2. Restart Windows
  3. Open Microsft Word and “Allow” if prompted
