My subscription expired and I was going to update it when I am ready too.
But now I have no shields and no protection… surely this is wrong.
Ok I might not have the latest definitions but I believe I should be protected by the software fwith the definitions from when the time my subscription expired. What gives Avast the rights to turn off my protection… if it’s out of date then surely that is my problem but to leave my PC completely unprotected so you can get another £35 off me is a disgrace.
I look forward to hearing from you on this matter!
what avast version do you have? 4.8 / 5.0 / 5.1
free version or pay?..what pay version pro / AIS
have you tried avast repair?
For a repair of avast. Windows, Add Remove programs, select ‘avast! Anti-Virus,’ click the Change/Remove button from the pop-up window, scroll down to Repair, click next and follow.
You can always get a key for the free version and insert/use that till you have purchased a new license for a paid version.
If you get the message that avast will expire, you have enough time to buy a new license if you wish before the license really expires. If you don’t do it, you loose the right to use the paid application.
Keep in mind that avast is not responseble for your system protection. You are.
With the avast 5.0 or higher, as far as I’m aware the registration applies to the program and updates not just to the virus definition updates, see image.
I that the wording on your avast version Registration information ?
