explorer.exe connected to bingbot

It’ll probably change again when the next major update comes along, Bob may be able to look if it’s changed yet in the latest Preview version.

Thanks Bob, all good so far by the looks of it so lets hope it stays that way

Think positive it’s always the best way to look at anything.

Yours does actually say it’s running though!!!

It was, I turned it off.

so i did a full reinstall of my pc and explorer.exe is still connected to bingbot. i did a quick google search and ran into this site https://hackmag.com/security/what-data-windows-10-sends-to-microsoft-and-how-to-make-it-stop/ , which explains all the spying windows 10 does and how to stop it. It linked to this free tool https://github.com/10se1ucgo/DisableWinTracking which i havnt tried and i dont know if its ok to use or not

Spying pretty much depends on the interpretation of that term by the user.
Without GPS tracking, localized searches would be impossible.
You can disable all of the “spying” through system changes. Doing so, will also disable many related functions.
This type of ‘spying’ is done by all Operating Systems and many programs you install.
You could use a tool like ShutUp10 to accomplish those changes. This will effect many of the functions built into Windows 10.
Your computer, Your choice.

so just use the recomended actions on shutup10 as the tool is kind of confusing

Only confusing because every action selected effects other options.
You need to decide what’s important to you.
Google is your friend. Search what’s confusing and look at the many answers available, then decide.

well almost all of the windows 10 “features” i dont use anyway. I dont use the marketplace or any of the apps

Do you have a question ???

i just checked most things that didnt involve updates and security
