Hi just want to say that I have now received my refund for avast anti virus. I would like to thank I yogi tech team for their effort and support on trying to solve my issue… Sadly i had to uninstall avast but hey who knows in the future I may be able to use it
Thank you I yogi and thank you avast for my refund.
We are glad that we did help you in trying to fix the issue in your computer, but at the same time we are bit sad too about the avast! refund. So could you please let us know why you actually need a refund for avast!. I mean what is the exact issuse in the computer…
I don’t think you are thanking the right people. If you were, avast should be installed and running.
Moreover, I would say that the same people that helped you the most are simple users that gave you the correct info so to solve the refund problem, and those are the same people that were (are) most capable to get the initial problem solved (and you would be using avast as a consequence).
This is just my impression from your previous posts, and of course I don’t have the complete info about the case, so evidently I could be completely wrong.
After installing avast avp and inserting the licence key. I restarted my pc and avast avp had reverted back to a trial and was asking me to buy/activate again, so called Iyogi who solved the issue by uninstalling it and reinstalling. But this only lasted 3 days as when I tried to download virus updates it failed again. So contacted iyogi again and they said my windows was corrupt. Which I said it couldnt of been as my system was brand new and only avast had been installed on.
So my reason for refund is that I did not want all the hassle of calling for support and having my avast not working…
Uninstall avast from Control Panel (if possible). If, for any reason, you can’t run it, try booting in Safe Mode and doing it from there. Anyway, boot after that.
Run the avast! Uninstall Utility saved on 1. If, for any reason, you can’t run it, try booting in Safe Mode and doing it from there. Anyway, boot after you’ve run it.
Install avast! using the setup saved on 2. Boot.
Register your free copy or add the license key for Pro. Or even upgrade your key from old versions.
Check and post the results. If, for any reason, you did not solve, try doing the step 3 in Safe Mode anyway.
