Anyone on the situation in other countries.
Here on the coast of the North Sea (Netherlands) Whatsapp is down.
Also Instagram and Facebook for that matter.
DNS does not seem to work. Has been ongoing for quite some hours to-day.
What is the situation in the US of A? Someone?
What is going on there?
My suspicious mind links these two items.
I wouldn’t be surprised if Facebook is trying to clean up its act due to all the
crap being exposed by the whistleblower.
Thanks. Pondus, I am not on Facebook either, but global downtime must have some impact on social media networking.
This must cost them money by the sec. Started at 10:15 am on this Monday as I have it.
In Europe we are nearing midnight as in Britain it is already well past midnight there.
@ bob3160. Average people these days seems to forget, they digest new information almost instantly within a very short attention frame.
Facebook was also into the Cambridge Analytica scam thingie, but as I said people are very soon to forget about issues. Specially those folks hooked up on their services (I mean to say “depending on their services”) ;D
I never noticed either, as I’m not on twitter, come to that I haven’t got a single social networking account and I can’t see that changing any time soon
Social Media just like any other internet interaction will collect lots of your data.
Want to stay private, stay of the internet.
For most of us, that’s just not practical.
