Facebook photo contest = Fail!

Tried to join the “#Avast BeFree Photo Contest” on facebook at https://www.facebook.com/avast/app_125256630919882 and it said:

You are not allowed to see this promotion Only available for connection from Tunisia, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Turks and Caicos Islands, Tuvalu, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, US Virgin Islands, USSR, Uzbekistan, Vanuatu, Vatican City, Venezuela, Vietnam, Wallis and Futuna, Western Sahara, Yemen, Yemen, Democratic, Yugoslavia, Zaire, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

WTF Avast? I can’t enter from Canada (which does exist) but aparantly I can enter from the USSR (Which does not exist)… presumably if I use a time machine?! Somebody go take your Failbook team and give them a good shake, see what falls out.

I just tried and see a page that doesn’t have any such warning, and my location is not listed.

Is there a further step I should take? Like I have to sign into Facebook to then see that warning? Or do you see that warning on the first page showing from that link you provided?

No such warnings for me, but then I’m on the list you mentioned. But since I’m not registered on facebook and haven’t subscribed to any social networking sites I won’t be entering.

Though your list appears to be in alphabetic order and only starts from ‘T’ and nothing before.

Strange that the list appears for me also in Brazil…
It has no sense of me to having post in the blog and also in Facebook about the contest then…
