Failed Boot Scan

Hello, I am looking for some help regarding my laptop and an infection it may have, please.
I have tried to run a boot scan with my free Avast antivirus software, but a message appears that is preventing me. It reads, ‘Unable to start scan. The IOCTL call made by the application program is not correct.’
I have read some of the previous posts related to this and have run the suggested programs, but am still experiencing the same problem. Please can someone advise me. Thank you.
P.S. I am not very computer literate!

Please find attached the Farbar recovery scan tool results

And this is the aswMBR result.

After going through these processes I am still unable to do a boot scan with my Avast antivirus and receive the same message. Do you have any further advice for me, please?

Hi it appears that this is an Avast error message and to the best of my knowledge only appears in 8.1, but only a very few installations

Have you tried a full re-install of Avast

Download Avast Uninstall Utility to your Desktop.
Download the correct version of Avast
Avast Free
Avast Pro
Avast Internet Security
Avast Premier
Disconnect from the net
Uninstall Avast via control panel

[]Run the uninstall tool and accept the reboot to safe mode
[
]Once complete reboot your system
[*]Reinstall Avast

I’m sorry my laptop does not recognize the file that will remove Avast, so it cannot open it. What do you suggest?

It does not recognise an exe file ?

It is not classed as an exe file. It is named avastclear.1459187229
And when I try click on it Windows asked me how I would like to open the file and suggests looking in the app store. When I look in the app store it says it does not recognize file type 1459187229
There is no mention of an exe file.

The link on the site takes you to the download for Avastclear.exe are you using a download manager ?

I am not completely sure what a download manager is, but when you click on the link it takes you to an Avast page with an exe file, yes. But when you click on it, it asked if I want to run or save Avastclear.1459187229
An exe file is not offered or downloaded.

Working fine here, just downloaded it on my android tab

I get the same problem. It does not see an exe file, it calls it avastclear.1459187229
why is that?

Give it a few minutes to upload and then try it from my dropbox

EDIT : now uploaded
