Failed Upgrade

Running a Windows SBS 2003 with the Avast! SBS Suite v4.8.

Downloaded the BPP and installed it …

Two problems.

  1. It didnt seem to make any mention about upgrading, nor has it uninstalled the old version??

  2. It doesnt appear to have installed correctly. If I load the Avast! Administration Console, I simply get a “Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage” message.

Any Ideas?

if you downloaded the SBC then there never has been an upgrade since its not an upgrade of ADNM but a whole new product

the other problem i havent experienced yet myself, but i have seen it mentioned here in this part of the forum in several threads… check the forum more closely

I’ve now uninstalled the Avast 4.8 and the Avast BPP, going to reboot and start again with a fresh installation … :frowning:

Any news about the new installation?

Still wont work without manually going to “/Avast/Service.aspx” instead.

Also needed a new key to get the exchange support…

Now that I’ve done all this, it seems to be working, but early days LOL
