Fake AV Redirect

I’ve now run into a Fake AV pop-up that looks like Microsoft Security Essentials. I have the URL, and screenshots of the web page.
I haven’t dared click the “Download” button, in case Avast does not detect it, so I don’t have any samples, just a URL to block.

Where should I send this info?

virus(@)avast(.)com

remove the ()

Can also run the link through urlQuery?

@Monster_user,

Send the url to virus AT avast dot com and the mail subject could be fake AV redirect.
Do that first.
Then you can scan the url by submitting it in the scanner here http://zulu.zscaler.com/ (cut and paste link and then click on submit url)
and provide us with that scan result link,

@!Donovan, you have beaten me here,

Thanks, I tried loading it up in a Virtual Machine, but Avast did detect the malware.

Apparently it has been around long enough to be blacklisted. Yet I’m still getting redirected there…

scan the url at one of the scanners given above…then post the link to the scan result
