False alarm?

I can’t visit this website because avast tells me there is a virus.

sonicveg.isamedia.org/home.php

I know this website is legitimate. I added them to the exceptions in Web Shield, but still it detects them. The only way to access this website without any problems is to pause Web shield and Standard shield. Please help me!

The web site may well be legit but there have been numerous sites that have been hacked (PHP if out of date can be the entry point) and had code injected into them.

I can’t even get to the url to check it out (I use OpenDNS and it reports it isn’t available), this may confirm there is a problem with the site and it is being fixed ???

The website is being moved to a new server. That may be why you cant access it.
BTW The virus found is VBS:Malware-gen. I read in the forum that it is a palse positive.

Tried to visit the site twice, got no virus warning. Please provide the exact way how to get to the place with possible FP.

I got to the site using the above supplied address also without any warning. Perhaps the site move has been finalized. See image below.

I still get the warning. Now I have to pause web-shield to view the website. >:(
here is a pic of my logs

almost all have VBS:Malware-gen
What browser do you use and what version of virus database do you have?
I use IE and Safari. My current version of virus database is 080715-0 07/15

In my above post, I used Opera 9.51 and below is a picture using IE7 without a problem.

Perhaps you should try deleting your Temporary Internet Files as well as other junk files. Though I use something different, many here would suggest using ccleaner for this.

I forgot to mention that I have avast set for automatic updates. So, I would be using the most up to date definitions at the time.
