False alarm

I install Avast free antivirus 20.2.2401 (build 20.2.5130.571) on my computer (Windows 10). Here are two issues I’m experiencing:

  1. Avast seems to wrongly report a IDP.generic threat from sshfs.exe. And Avast further contains sshfs.exe in the virus chest.

  2. After I disable shields for some time (because of the compatibility issue in my previous point), I can’t open the Avast anymore (it’s frozen). So I have to reboot my system. Now I can open Avast again and see its interface. It says two shields are disabled (Anti-Rootkid Shield and Anti-Exploit Shield). When I click on ‘turn on’, nothing happens. So I have to reboot my system again. This time everything is back to normal.
