since ive been using your product avast free edition… it seems that it is one of my great antivirus product ever created… better than avg…
anyway i just want to report a false alarm to help improve your product///… sorry if im orng with this… my mistake…
this is the report… Mental Omega APYR 20psi.exe is beig reported as a trojan which if im not wrong is not… its a mod for yuri’s revenge game… please if it can be excluded from the resident protecton then ill be thankfull… i actually disables first the resident protection in order to open this file… which i dont like to do it over again since i know its not a trojan / virus… in fairness to avast its good to know that your protection is great… i salute…
You could also check the offending/suspect file at: VirusTotal - Multi engine on-line virus scanner and report the findings here. You can’t do this with the file securely in the chest, you need to extract it to a temporary (not original) location first, see below.
Create a folder called Suspect in the C:\ drive, e.g. C:\Suspect. Now exclude that folder in the Standard Shield, Customize, Advanced, Add, type (or copy and paste) C:\Suspect* That will stop the standard shield scanning any file you put in that folder. You should now be able to export any file in the chest to this folder and upload it to VirusTotal without avast alerting.
