Hello. I use OpenDNS on my computers at home, and also at the computers at our local church. We also use a program called Marc’s Updater, to keep track of our dynamic IP addresses from our ISP. Ever since yesterday, Avast! keeps popping up every minute about a warning for https://myip.dnsomatic.com. This is the site that the Marc’s Updater program uses to grab the local IP address for OpenDNS. It has a VirusTotal detection rate of 0/59
It is impossible to exclude the “https” address, because your program automatically inserts “http://” in front of any website I try to exclude!
This is SO ANNOYING I can’t tell you! The Marc’s Updater program is not working now because of this. There is no way to stop the popups on the free version; there is no way to mark this site as an exception. I need to know what to do for a dozen computers! They are W8.1, W8.0, W7 and XP. Can anyone give me a resolution?
