Recently, our popular app has started being reported as Android:FakeInst-UT [Trj]. This is insane because the the app doesn’t do anything shady besides what it is supposed to do: “A Browser with native Flash support”. It is based on open source Firefox code with integrated Adobe Flash Player.
I have submitted False Positive report to VirusLab and waiting for their reply.
Wanted to post this in the morning, but had no time during work. Now i see you already posted it. I know it’s FP because i’ve been using FlashFox for a while and i know it’s clean. Unless if it’s detected by mistake because of some ads component…
There seems to be a bug where avast! keeps on nagging about action required even though i’ve placed Flashfox to the ignore list. So i had to remove it using avast! and reinstall it now to stop doing that in the notification trey.
