I just went and installed ShadowProtect 4 Desktop version and Avast blocked something called “ArmUtility.exe”
I am willing to bet this is a false positive!
I hope it can be fixed fast!
You can download it here http://www.storagecraft.com/software_update.php
ShadowProtect is a backup program that I have been using for years.
Here are the scan results http://www.virustotal.com/analisis/159f656b3c56ed0cd4cc56950008b9139a808f12248491578475e8f94d938b71-1271917980
Can you submit armutility.exe to www.virustotal.com ?
Seems indeed a false positive.

Hello,
send us (virus@avast.com) the file which is detected.
Thank you,

This is indeed a false positive. The file should be digitally signed so an antivirus vendor should be able to verify the integrity of the file.
Hmmm… Isn’t avast checking digitally signed files?
Isn’t it a trustable company?
