I’m developing software in C# using VS2012 which includes a dll and an exe that use named pipes. Even though I told Avast to exclude the bin directories, Avast still refuses to let me even compile it. What can I do to get Avast to stop ruining my day?
hello
You can send the file by email to avast lab
virus@avast.com zipper and password, please.
to’’ false positive’’ about the email
the fast way to report a false positive is link
Are you asking for the compiled DLL or the source code? Avast won’t let me compile the DLL and I’m not the least bit happy about sending proprietary software to a third party.
Since it compiled without problems before I added the named pipes, I’m guessing Avast’s objection is related to that. Does Avast have any guidelines for programmers to develop common code functions without Avast freaking out?
Also, why doesn’t Avast exclude the file or the directories when I add them to the exclusion list? Does that mean that Avast’s exclusion list is basically useless? This is delaying work on the project and costing me money?
Hi, disable the shields for a lil file while compiling the code. (Right click the spinning A in your task bar > Avast! Shield Controls > Disable until restart).
I would send the file to Avast! as Jefferson has suggested, they can add it to a global whitelist. or contact via the link.
What’s the alert saying?
not is possible to exclude an block entire in exclusions
disable modules → open the avast-> Settings-> active protection → file system shield-> stop until restart of computer.
you have every right, do not want to share a file
but I can not do much for you, without the file is impossible to fix the problem.
