False Positive on SMSSpy-X trojan in our APPS on Google Play

We have launched three Android apps in the google play store yesterday.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aetn.aetv.watch
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aetn.history.watch
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aetn.lifetime.watch

Some of our users have posted reviews that our app contains SMSSpy-X trojan. We believe this is a false positive as we have tested the apps with AVG, Trustgo, Dr Web, and Norton and we do not see any such issue. I would appreciate urgent help to understand this issue as this is impacting ratings on our apps and preventing users from downloading the same. If you think such problem exists, we would appreciate help in understanding the same at the earliest. We will appreciate all the help in troubleshooting this at the earliest please.

Hi,

I have notified our viruslab, they will take a look at it and get back to you. (Note that this might take some time, I would guess it might be approximately 16-24 hours.)

Filip,

I appreciate your help with this. We are getting lot of comments and will appreciate prompt help.

Thanks,
Raj

Hi,

maybe you might consider taking the app out of Google Play for now to avoid further negative feedback. Just a thought.

You hit a bad timing, it’s starting to get late here and it’s gonna be dark in a few hours. I suppose the guys might be already on their way to their families, in which case I’m afraid they are going to take a look at it at 16 hours at best as I mentioned.

Filip

Hi,
yes, it’s a false positive. It will be fixed in the next virus database update (2-3 hours from now). Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you.

We appreciate your prompt help.

Thanks again.
