Hi, I spent Sunday trying to get rid of a Trojan Horse HTML:BANKFRAUD-BBE that was supposed to have infected my computer only to discover it was a false positive. I did find it in several different places and on a Boot scan but if it wasn’t a virus, what was it? My computer is clean now, and I can log onto Paypal but the last time I tried that, as soon as I went and looked at something the Trojan Horse warning came up. I’ve been told by PayPal that AVAST is doing an update to correct the problem. Do we have to go and find the update or is it being updated via the Update utility?
but if it wasn't a virus, what was it?as you said... a False Positive
Do we have to go and find the update or is it being updated via the Update utility?if paypal work you already got it. ;)

Thanks. Just wondered how and why it was on my machine if AVAST was suppose to stop Trojan Horses getting through?
first no security program have 100% detection, if they did there would not be a virus problem.
in this case there is no trojan but a False Positive
What is a False Positive?
