False positive or not?

I bought an Asus EeePC 900 with Linux. I decided to install Windows XP on it. After the installation, I quickly installed Avast! before installing the drivers included on the support CD. After I inserted the CD, a message popped up from Avast! with siren telling a virus has been found on my installation CD. I then removed the CD and decided to go onto Asus website to download the required drivers for my EeePC 900. Again, Avast advised me the files I was downloading contains viruses. I just want to confirm false positive with these files.

I would believe these to be a false positive but to make sure submit the file to www.Virustotal.com

Most probably a false positive. But do what Justin said just to be sure. Also, you can send the offending file zipped to virus (at) avast.com for analysis and correction.
